Our Standards
Since the Timber Wolf doesn't even have standards, we are creating our own.
Description- Timber wolves, also called gray wolves, are the largest wild members of the dog family. Males are usually bigger than females. Timber wolves have silvery gray-brown backs, light tan underparts, and bushy tails. In winter, their fur becomes darker on the neck, shoulders, and rump. They are a much smaller version of the Dire Wolves.
Body Size- They have a body length between 1 and 1.5 m (3.25 - 5 ft), a tail length between 30 and 51 cms (1 - 1.75 ft) and they weigh between 16 and 60 kgs (35 - 130 lbs).
Coat- Their coat can come in any color and ranges. Most common are the Greys, and Browns. Treasured colors are white, and black coats. Also Sabled colors are loved.
Temperament- The temperament of the Timber wolf is strong natured, and a type of canine that runs with in a pack. They can coexisted with humans, very loyal to them. Any owner must start socialization, and training them as soon as they are born, or run the risk of them having a wild, and dog pack mentality. They also can coexisted with other animals, as long as they are around them since Puppyhood. If an owner owns more then one Timber Wolf, they will have the mind of a pack. The human would be the alpha, and after him would be another Timber Wolf, who controls the pack most. Timber Wolves can only got to owners who are very experienced with owning wolves, or dealing with dangerous dogs. We at Amadeus Sielumessu keep out wolves in a pack, keeping our dogs together in one large kennel group, trying to keep their wild nature as much as we can. But they are used to human contact.
